The Midcoast sports scene was busy with several sporting events on Monday, Nov. 28.

Middle School Girls Basketball: Boothbay 50, Medomak 8th Grade 20

Boothbay held a 12-8 advantage after one, 24-10 at the half, 32-14 after three. 

Great defense was played by Gabby Baughman and Abby Lash for MMS.

Camden-Rockport was ahead 11-6 after one, 23-13 after two and 29-20 after three.

Middle School Boys Basketball: Medomak 8th Grade 54, Boothbay 34

The MMS 8th grade boys took care of business again against a big rival
team Monday.

As usual it was a battle with MMS taking the first quarter lead with Zach Cheeseman, Ethan Reed and Brandon Starr all hitting threes, 14-9. In the second Ethan and Isaiah Staples hit threes along with other scorers to take a 26-14 lead into halftime. In the third, MMS again had 5 scorers maintain the lead 37-26. Then in the fourth, Parker Morrison took over with 10 points including two threes, finishing 54-34 final.
