MORRILL — Norma (Roberts) Woodbury, 88, of Morrill, has gone to meet her Beloved Francis, having passed peacefully on Nov. 16, 2016.

Norma was the beloved matriarch of the Woodbury family, mother to three sons and grandmother to six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was a devoted wife to Francis for 59 years, working side by side to care for their beloved family, farm and community.

Norma was born April 29, 1928, to parents Ernest and Agnes Roberts, who resided in Brooks. She enjoyed a life filled with the love of a large and extended family. Norma was well known for the wonderful family dinners she provided, especially her biscuits and potato salad. She was a wonderful hostess and many would flock to her home, particularly during hunting season or for holiday dinners. Norma relished in the delight of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spoiling them, attending their sporting events, feeding them, and teaching them her love of quilting, crocheting and baking the perfect apple pie.

Norma is survived by her son, Michael and his wife, Deborah, and their children, Jenny and her husband, Scott King, Reid and Regina Woodbury, Laura Woodbury and Kelsey Woodbury; her son, Patrick and his wife, Patricia, and their children, Andrea and her husband, Greg Thayer,and Jeffrey and his wife, Jillian; and her son, Timothy and his companion, Laura Jackson. Her great-grandchildren include Riley, Anna and Reid Woodbury, Taylor and Chase Thayer, and Nora Woodbury. Norma is also survived by her sisters, Marion and Margaret; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, Nov. 22, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave. in Belfast, where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Morrill Village Cemetery, Morrill. Please come ready to share stories of Norma's life in her memory.
