CAMDEN - The Coastal Maine Yoga studio opened its doors on Mechanic Street in the Knox Mill Complex in December. Classes include, but will not be limited to, vinyasa, Kundalini, heated yoga, African drumming, healing movement, gentle seated yoga, pilates, children's yoga, groups and stand up paddle board yoga classes in the summer.

Owner Marylou Cook is planning weekly programs for toddlers, school age kids, teens and adults as well as special children's programs for early dismissal days and vacations.

Workshops will be offered and the space is available for use for community gatherings, birthday parties and exhibits.

"The space offers an opportunity for the whole community, to give people somewhere they can create space and make time in their lives for themselves and for the practice of yoga,” she said, in a news release.

Find the schedule by downloading the free Mindbody app or checking the studio’s Facebook page.

Class pass and membership rates are being offered at introductory rates. Coastal Maine Yoga will also be hosting monthly art receptions for local artist.

The art will remain on the walls and for purchase at the studio. There is a retail space as well where one can find local Maine clothing and products, as well as environmentally conscious products from global companies.
