ROCKLAND — For women who have been affected by domestic or dating violence, a support group can be a safe place to talk about the abuse, in an environment that fosters trusting and caring relationships.

The groups provide the emotional support of peers while enabling attendees to work through the effects of abuse. Ultimately, New Hope for Women's goal is to encourage personal growth and empowerment in all areas of one's life.

New Hope for Women offers support to people in Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox and Waldo counties affected by domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. It also provides important educational resources to assist communities in creating a safer and healthier future.
