Sun, 06/03/2018 - 9:15pm
Necessary Music Productions is working with the Time Out Pub to bring some great bands to Rockland this summer.

First up: Knox County Boogie Kings: The Midnight Riders will be playing great dance music all night long Friday June 15, from 9 p.m. til closing at The Time Out Pub in sunny tropical downtown Rockland Main Street. So rally the troops and come down for a real old school boogie! Cost is $5 at the door & all cash goes to the band.

The Midnight Riders are an exciting live band that will get you dancing to Old Soul, Funk, Alt Country, Roots & Blues / Rock N Roll. As well as a song selection that also covers Roots / Alt. Country songwriters Steve Earle, Bruce Springsteen & Jason Isbell (Townes Van Zandt requests are honored!) while also doing songs by Maine based bands The Mallett Brothers & Waldo Counties own Coloradas! Featuring Will Neils on Vox, Emmett Lalor on Gtr, Bass & Vox, Mike Cole on Bass, Gtr & Vox, Samuel Yawdik on Drums & Jon Vickerman on Sax.

All three singers have original songs the band will be performing in their shows that range from Roots, Alt Country, Soul, Funk, Blues, Rock N Roll & more. They have been privileged to open for The Mallett Brothers Band, Chris Ross & The North, Roosevelt Dime & Sugarbush over the last few years. For example The Midnight Riders opened for The Mallett Brothers Band, with a 10 song all original set, last June 17th, 2017 at the Rockport Opera House in Knox County.  And for the 25th annual North Atlantic Blues Festival weekend will be playing on Oak St. behind FOG Bar for the Saturday night pubcrawl, for the third year in a row, on July 14.
