WARREN - Mitsuko Enomoto Reed (Mitsi), 91 years old, of Warren died peacefully Friday evening, March 9, 2018, at home.

She is survived by her children, Larry John Reed and his wife Rhonda, Mark E. Reed, Jeffrey Reed and his wife Anne, Alan Reed and his wife Angela; her grandchildren, Kimberly Reed, Dalton Reed, Mark H. Reed and his girlfriend Cerra Gene, Harmony Payne and her husband Charles Payne, IV, Walker Reed, Hannah Reed, Noah Reed, Abigail Reed, Averie Reed; great-grandchildren Jayleigh Reed and Greyson Reed. She was predeceased by her husband, Harman Reed, of 27 years.

Mitsi was born September 26, 1926 in Tokyo, Japan, the daughter of Toshinaga Enomoto and Kin Enomoto. She met and married her husband, Harman, who was serving in the U.S. Army while stationed in Tokyo, Japan, in 1955. Mitsi devoted herself to military life for 27 years. Travels included Germany, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Maine, where they finally settled. In addition to her devotion to her family, one of her proudest accomplishments was in becoming a U.S. citizen in 2001. She possessed a strong will, deep love for family, and endless compassion for others. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, and gardening.

A celebration of Mitsi's life will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland. Captain Katie Jache, Commanding Officer of the Warren, PA Salvation Army and Mitsi's step-grand-daughter will officiate. Although flowers are gratefully appreciated, those who wish to, may make memorial donations to MaineHealth Care at Home, Hospice Program, (formerly Kno-Wal-Lin Hospice), 15 Industrial Park Road, Saco, ME 04072-9981.
