Mini Golf for a Good Cause- Play a round and support the Coastal Children’s Museum

ROCKLAND/ROCKPORT –- The Coastal Children’s Museum is teaming up with Golfer’s Crossing for a fun Family Mini Golf Fundraiser.  Throughout the entire weekend of August 23 and 24 any player who completes a round of golf with a special coupon Golfer’s Crossing will donate $2 to the museum making it easy to golf for a good cause.  The museum will be setting up shop all weekend at Golfer’s Crossing, located at 7 Country Inn Way in Rockport, so golfers can learn more about the museum and purchase tickets for a special raffle e which includes such prizes as a two hour cruise on the schooner Summertime, nine holes for two people at Goose River Golf Course, lunch for two at Blue Sky Cantina, gift certificates from local stores, and grand prize of a free birthday party at the Coastal Children’s Museum.

“This is a fun and feasible way for families to come and enjoy a brilliant day out while supporting us at the same time,“ says museum Program and Outreach Coordinator, Megan Rogers, “ all anyone needs to do to help out is just pick up a coupon for everyone in the family and then play a fun game of mini golf, what could be easier!”  Funds raised from this event will go towards the upkeep and development of the over 30 hands-on exhibits in the museum, the year- long programming calendar and to bolster the museum’s Pauline Archer Scholarship Fund.

Families and supporters can pick up coupons at the museum or collect them at the museum’s table at Golfer’s Crossing where families can purchase raffle tickets before the drawing on Sunday, Aug. 24.

Located at 75 Mechanic Street in Rockland, the Coastal Children’s Museum is a 501 c(3) non-profit dedicated to providing and opportunity for children to learn through play about the natural world, the arts and sciences and the diversity of Maine’s coast.
