Boys Soccer
Camden-Rockport 2, Oceanside 0 — Camden defeated Oceanside with a goal in each half from striker Marshall Merriam.

The game was fairly even for the first 10 minutes and then Camden started to take control of the game with some solid midfield work from Will Nickerson, Elliot Matlack and Noah Heidorn. The score at half time was only 1–0 due to some resilient defending by Oceanside.

Camden came out very strong in the second half and continued to pressure the Oceanside goal, but for all their efforts they could not put in the ball in the net again until the dying minutes of the game.

"The team played very well especially the defense who have been strong all season long," said Camden coach Dwight Pitcairn. "Offensively, I was very pleased with the players work rate and decision making. I think we hit the post twice and the crossbar as well. The players are improving individually and as a team every day and it is apparent from watching the games. There is always work to be done so we will keep trying to improve as the season progresses, but I am very content with what I have seen since day one."

Marshall Merriam had two goals and Michael Blackwell had an assist.

Oceanside 4, Camden-Rockport 3 — What a fun game to watch and be a part of.  Both Oceanside and Camden played outstandingly well. This was an excellent back and forth battle between two really good teams with many scoring opportunities at both ends of the field.  In the end, Oceanside walked away with the victory.

"Coach Murray and myself are very proud of how the team performed today, especially after the hard loss we took in Camden the week before, said Coach Todd Boynton. "These girls, across the entire field, raised their game and showed how much they wanted the win.  This is where all the hard work on fundamentals and teamwork really pay off."
