Sun, 03/25/2018 - 11:15pm

BELFAST — The Medomak fifth and sixth grade girls basketball team claimed its third consecutive tournament championship after competing in nine games this weekend at the Waldo County YMCA tournament in Belfast.

With a trio of games on Saturday, March 24 and six games on Sunday, March, 25, Medomak was hard at work all weekend with the hard work, and long hours in the gym, paying off quite nicely.

The team would like to thank Holgerson, Inc. of Appleton for sponsoring the team, thus making it possible for the team to participate in this tournament.

Game One: Medomak 59, Holbrook 8

“Medomak came out strong even though they all had to get up at 5 a.m. and head to Belfast for an arrival time of 7:30 a.m. for their 8 a.m. game,” said Medomak coach Andrea Williamson.

Medomak held quarterly advantages of 18-0, 34-0 and 44-2.
