Of the game, Oceanside head coach Rusty Worcester said, “Paige Tyler was great today, the ball exploded from her hand today. She had great movement on the ball and hit her spots. She got stronger as the game continued, after [Lincoln Academy] scored in 5th inning Paige came out and shut the door the last two innings.

Brianna Dugan was also outstanding today for us not only did she have two hard hit singles up the middle she set the tone in the second inning diving head first into home plate just beating the throw from first on Paige Tyler RBI come backer to the pitcher. [I am] very proud of the girls performance today in a big game; they are young and the big game atmosphere didn't bother them at all.”
