The Midcoast sports scene was busy with several sporting events on Monday, May 22.

Below are the scores and stats for those contests that were reported to our sports department.

Varsity Baseball: Oceanside 10, Morse 4

Oceanside (7-5) plated two runs in each of the first and fourth innings plus six in the second. Morse (9-4) scored three in the first and one in the third. 

On the mound for Oceanside: Jack Freeman (six innings, four runs, two earned runs, eight strikeouts, two walks) and Matt Waldron (one inning, one hit, two strikeouts). 

On the mound for Morse: Tommy Warren (one inning, four runs, two earned runs, four hits, one strikeout, one walk), Riley Lammare (two innings, four runs, four earned runs, two hits, three strikeouts, four walks), Taylor Shaw (two innings, two runs, one earned run, two hits, two strikeouts, one walk, one hit-by-pitch) and Austin Magliozzi (one inning, one strikeout, one walk). 

At the plate for Oceanside: Michael Norton (two singles, RBI), Titus Kaewthong (single, two RBIs) and Coby Dorr (single, double, two RBIs, run). 

At the plate for Morse: Parker Onorato (two singles, run) and Tucker Banger (single, RBI, run).
