ROCKLAND — Marian H. Wall, 94, died Nov. 15, 2014, at the Woodlands, following a long illness.

Born in Portland on Aug/ 19, 1920, she was the daughter of Ralph M. and Julia Pettee Flanders. Having moved to Waldoboro as a young girl, she was a 1937 graduate of Waldoboro High School.

For several years, she resided in Warren, where she was employed at the Warren Woolen Mill. She attended the White Oak Grange.

On Aug. 30, 1947, she married Albert A. Wall at Rockland. The couple made their home in Rockland all their married lives. In 1975, Mrs. Wall began employment as a secretary with the City of Rockland. She retired in 1988.

An ardent sports fan, she enjoyed following all the New England teams, and local high school teams as well.

Mrs. Wall was predeceased by her son, Ronald "Puff" Wall in 1990; and her husband in 2005. She is survived by several extended family members.

Friends and relatives are invited to visit Wednesday, Nov. 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St. in Rockland, where a funeral service will be held Thursday, Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Paul Marshall will officiate. Interment will follow in Achorn Cemetery on Old County Road.
