BELFAST — Margaret E. Conant, 92, passed away Nov. 1, 2014, in Belfast. She was born May 19, 1922, in Swanville to Augustus and Esther Walker.

Margaret had a great sense of humor and loved playing cards, especially playing and winning at Uno. She enjoyed being around people and always welcomed friends and neighbors into her home. Margaret had a great fondness for animals, especially her pugs. She attended Faith Temple Church of God.

She was predeceased by her parents; her first husband, Stanley Webster; her second husband, Charles Conant; and a grandchild, Amon Vaughan. Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Gott and her husband, Randall, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; her step-children, Andrea Grierson and her husband, Darrell, Scott Conant and his wife, Cheryl, and Tammie Conant and her companion, Stephan Stone, all of Appleton; a sister, Winnie Ward of Belfast; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three nephews; and many special friends and neighbors.

A funeral service will be held Monday, Nov. 10 at 10 a.m. at Faith Temple Church of God on Lincolnville Avenue in Belfast with the Rev. Michael Horton officiating, followed by a luncheon at the church.
