Man arrested after threatening partner with a knife

    STOCKTON SPRINGS — A Stockton Springs man was arrested March 12, after allegedly assaulting, and threatening his partner with a knife.

    Waldo County Dispatch received the report around 1 a.m. stating that David Pattershall, 70, had assaulted the victim, and was threatening them with a knife, according to a media report. 

    Waldo County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Daniel Thompson and Sergeant Cody Laite responded to the scene, in addition to Officer Dennis Remillard, of the Searsport Police Department. 

    After locating both Pattershall and the victim, law enforcement conducted interviews with those on scene. 

    Authorities learned that Pattershall had reportedly strangled and kicked the victim, in addition to threatening to kill them with a knife, according the media release. 

    Pattershall was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and domestic terrorizing. He is being held at Two Bridges Regional Jail without bail pending arraignment. 

    The victim was transported to Waldo County General Hospital for medical treatment.
