Man arrested after allegedly assaulting, threatening to kill partner

    STOCKTON SPRINGS — A Stockton Springs man is facing multiple charges following a violent domestic altercation April 14. 

    Marshal Crockett, 22, first came to the attention of the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office April 15, when the alleged assault was reported. 

    The victim told law enforcement that Crockett had assaulted them “numerous times” during the incident, according to a media report. 

    In addition to the physical assault, Crockett also reportedly pointed a loaded gun at the victim while threatening both them and their family. According to a press release, Crockett told the victim he would kill both them and their family if the victim attempted to leave the residence.

    Crockett also took the victim’s phone to prevent them from calling for help. 

    A search of the residence was conducted after deputies secured a search warrant. They discovered firearms in the house, in addition to drugs and paraphernalia. Related additional charges may be forthcoming, according to the release. 

    Crockett has been charged with domestic assault, domestic terrorizing, criminal threatening, reckless conduct and obstructing the report of a crime.

    He was transported to Waldo County Correctional Center where he is currently being held without bail.
