LEWISTON - It is with deep sorrow I announce the death of my dearly loved son Malcolm Dwight Robinson III, known to family as Robby, Cat to friends, and Uncle Cat by niece Mallory. Robby died Sunday, September 10, 2017 in a room surrounded by family and friends, holding his mother's hand. How we all wished he could stay. He is no longer in immense pain, for which we are grateful.

Robby was a funny, witty, gentle, kind man. He always loved playing jokes on others, and had the Joker tattooed on his arm! He had a laugh that made you laugh. He could play a joke with a straight face and had teasing down to an art; just ask his sister, Kelly. He was so proud to become an uncle to Mallory. Her first Christmas he gave her every Disney stuffed toy. His greatest joy was the birth of his son Malcolm "Max" D. Robinson, IV.

Robby was born April 14, 1971 in Waterbury Connecticut to Malcolm "Mac" Robinson, Jr. and Deborah A. (Dundas) Robinson. He had so much hair when he was born his great-grandmother, Memme, called him her hippie great-grandson.

Robby is survived by his father, Malcolm "Mac" D. Robinson, Jr. of New Hampshire; his mother, Deborah A. (Dundas) Robinson of Rockland; son Malcolm "Max" D. Robinson, IV of Lewiston; sister Kelly Blastow and her husband Aaron of Thomaston; niece Mallory Nickles Blastow; sister Megan Gilmore and family of Rockland; brother Morgan Robinson and his family of Rockland; Rodney Nickles of Cushing who was there for Robby while was growing up; his brothers from another mother" Rob Bentley, Peter, Scott, and David Beal. Also included in the band of brothers are Jeremy van Dyne and Nick Fernandez. Robby is also survived by his companion Angela Taylor and her children Amanda, Samantha, Abel, Tonya, Tiffany, and Alannah all of Lewiston; his favorite and much loved aunt Cheri Ellison and her family of Swans Island; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Robby was predeceased by grandparents Malcolm D. Robinson, Sr. and Florence Robinson, Raymond and Margaret Quentin; great-grandparents Muriel and Payson Sedgwick, and Arthur P. and Margaret LeMay (Memme and Peppe). His "other mother" Diane; many uncles and aunts; his uncle Mike Robinson and cousin Julian 'Blake' Ellison; and his uncle, in April of this year, Raymond Quinton Jr.

Words cannot express my love and gratitude to my daughter Kelly; my granddaughter Mallory; Morgan and Megan, Peter, Avi and Bentley for their love and support in a time of great need. I could not have done this alone. Also to Christina Kinney Fullerton for being there on that Sunday; you are all awesome people.
Robby's Uncle Mike's friends quickly became his friends. Shawn Emerson, Jay Field, and the late Raymond Bernier.

We are comforted by this verse; Revelations 21:4
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

With great love comes great sorrow and you were greatly loved my son. I will always miss you and yearn to hear your voice – see your face – touch you. We will take care of Max and see that he finishes school and becomes a great young man. You can relax now, as you always told me to do. Love you always and forever, Ma.

All of Robby's family and friends are invited to a gathering of love and remembrance, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 104 Limerock, Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home's reception facility. This will be a time to share refreshments, stories and memories of Robby.
