AUGUSTA -Two Mainers will test their luck on the May 17 TV game show, Monopoly Millionaire’s Club, based on the Monopoly board game. Both won the opportunity by playing the Maine Lottery's Millionaires' Club game. Pamela Rodrigue, a Waterville native, will be the featured player on the show and will have the chance of playing for $1 million.

Jerry Taylor, of Saco, will appear in one of the shows Mini-Game segments on the May 17 show. Taylor will be playing for the chance to win $10,000.

The club is a weekly, one-hour game show featuring lottery players from around the country. Players are randomly selected from the audience to join the show's host, Billy Gardell, on stage, and test their nerves, intuition and luck playing games based on iconic elements from Monopoly. The show culminates with one player moving around a larger-than-life Monopoly game board on a quest for $1 million.

By playing the game sponsored by the Maine Lottery, Rodrigue and Taylor won an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas for the taping of the show and the chance to represent Maine. The show will air on May 17 at 6 p.m. on WFPO-Fox 23, and again at 11 p.m. on Fox 22 (Bangor).
