Maine State Police Troop D beat

    AUGUSTA — Maine State Police Troop D reported the following activity March 2 - April 13. Troop D is responsible for Maine's Midcoast, including Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Waldo, and Knox counties, the southern half of Kennebec County and part of northern Cumberland County. The troop also patrols Interstate 295, from Brunswick to Gardiner. The troop's complement includes a lieutenant, three sergeants, 25 troopers and a secretary. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

    March 2

    Trooper Nicolas Gleeson stopped a vehicle in Gardiner for operating with an expired inspection sticker. After further investigation, passenger Garret Hayden, 32, of Norridgewock, was issued summonses for possession of a usable amount of marijuana and use of drug paraphernalia.

    Trooper Christopher Rogers stopped Jason Blacker, 38, as he pulled into his residence in Jefferson. Blacker was ultimately arrested for operating after suspension, attaching false plates, and violation of conditional release.

    Trooper Rogers assisted the Gardiner Police Department with a traffic stop involving Melissa Coffey, 33. It was discovered that Coffey was currently on bail conditions that made her subject to search and test. Coffey was ultimately arrested for violation of conditional release.

    March 3

    Troopers Sarah Ferland and Donald Webber responded to a report of property damage on Powerline Road in Monroe that had allegedly been caused by a neighbor. After further investigation, Tracy Oliver, 38, of Monroe, was charged with criminal mischief and reckless conduct. Oliver was also given a no trespass notice and a cease harassment notice.

    Trooper Ferland responded the report of a vehicle driving erratically on Roxy Lane in Winterport. The driver was identified as Kyle Casey, 22, of Hermon. After performing standard field sobriety tests Casey was transported to Waldo County Jail. Casey was ultimately issued a summons for operating under the influence of drugs.

    March 4

    Trooper Bureau stopped William Kimball, 42, for a vehicle defect on Route 1 in Winterport. Kimball was ultimately charged with operating under the influence.

    Troopers Seth Allen and James Leonard stopped Amanda Douglas, 20, on 295 in West Gardiner for a vehicle defect. Douglas had an active warrant and was arrested without incident.

    Trooper Allen stopped Christopher Cope, 22, in Farmingdale for a vehicle defect. After conducting a vehicle search Cope was issued summonses for sale and use of drug paraphernalia and operating without a license.

    March 5

    Trooper Allen arrested Donald Westover, 60, on a felony warrant while at Kennebec County Jail.

    Trooper Allen arrested April Dupont, 36, in Farmingdale on an outstanding warrant for her arrest.

    Trooper Allen stopped Jesse Anderson, 34, in West Gardiner for a vehicle defect. It was determined that Anderson's inspection sticker was fictitious and he was issued a summons for the offense.

    March 6

    Trooper Gleeson stopped a vehicle for speeding in Bowdoinham. The driver, Nicholas Weld, 19, of Sanford, was found to have an active warrant for his arrest and he was arrested and transported to Two Bridges Jail.

    Trooper Ferland stopped Kyle Harvey, 28, of Thorndike, after avoiding a head-on collision in Winterport. Harvey performed roadside standard field sobriety tests and was ultimately charged with operating under the influence.

    Trooper Stevens stopped a vehicle for a defective headlight on Main Street in Richmond. After a search of the vehicle a usable amount of marijuana was located. The operator, Patrick Acord, 28, of Richmond, was issued a summons for the offense.

    Trooper Allen arrested Levi Violette, 23, at the Kennebec County Jail while he was attempting to bail an inmate out. Violette, who was on bail conditions and subject to search and testing, was arrested for violating conditions of release.

    March 7

    Trooper Bureau stopped Monica Daskam, 37, for a seat belt violation in Belfast. Trooper Bureau learned Daskam had two active warrants for her arrest and she was arrested and processed at the Waldo County Jail.

    Trooper Ferland arrested Leslie Duecaster, 39, of Swanville, on a warrant.

    March 17

    Trooper Robinson located Tyler Quimby, 18, of Albion, who had a warrant for his arrest. Quimby was arrested and transported to the Kennebec County Jail.

    March 19

    Trooper Allen arrested Dustin Degreenia, 25, at his home in Farmingdale on an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

    Trooper Allen arrested Luke Park, 34, at Kennebec County Jail on a warrant for failure to appear.

    Trooper Allen arrested Scott Lovering, 52, at the Capital Judicial Center for violating his conditions of release by having direct contact with the victim of his crime.

    Trooper Sweeney located Mathew Cushman, 21, of Belmont, at his residence. Cushman had a warrant for his arrest and he was transported to Waldo County Jail without incident.

    March 23

    Troopers Benjamin Sweeney and Bethany Robinson responded to Northport for the report of a non-criminal incident. One of the people identified was Christopher Patten, 45, of Northport. Patten had an active warrant for his arrest and he was arrested and transported to Waldo County Jail without incident.

    Trooper Sweeney located Cassandra Blalock, 23, of California, in Lincolnville. Blalock had two warrants for her arrest and she was transported her to Waldo County Jail without incident.

    March 25

    Trooper Sweeney went to the residence of William Chadwick, in Liberty. Chadwick, who had a warrant for his arrest, wasn't at home. Trooper Sweeney ultimately met with Chadwick where he was arrested without incident.

    March 26

    Trooper Christopher Rogers was advised by the Old Orchard Beach Police Department to be on the look out for Brittney Green, 21. Green was presumed to be travelling north towards Presque Isle and had an active warrant for her arrest. Trooper Rogers ultimately located the the vehicle and found Green in the back seat, where she was arrested without incident.

    March 27

    Trooper Rogers stopped Anthony Bishop-Zezima, 21, on I-295 in Gardiner for a front plate violation. Investigation revealed Bishop-Zezima had a suspended license, illegally attached plates, marijuana dabs, drug paraphernalia and two warrants for his arrest. His passenger Michael Shaw, 21, was also in possession of marijuana dabs. Both were charged accordingly and Bishop-Zezima was arrested and transported to the Kennebec County Jail.

    March 29

    Trooper Sweeney located Sheldrick Curtis, 57, of Jackson, at his residence. Curtis, who had a warrant for his arrest, was arrested and transported to Waldo County Jail without incident.

    Trooper Mark Ferreira stopped Gretchen Patrick, 52, of Augusta, for failure to have a front plate on Route 295. After further investigation and a search of the vehicle, Patrick was found to be in possession of oxycodone. She was charged with possession of schedule W drugs and violating conditions of release.

    March 31

    Trooper Ferland stopped Laura Keller, 46, of Etna, for a passenger not having a properly secured seatbelt. Upon further investigation it was discovered Keller had been drinking and she was arrested for operating under the influence and transported to Waldo County Jail.

    Trooper Smith stopped a speeding vehicle on Route 3 in Vassalboro. The operator, Scott Wright, 50, of Palermo, held a suspended Florida license and there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Trooper Smith arrested Wright and transported him to Kennebec County Jail

    April 3

    Troopers Robinson and Sweeney stopped a vehicle for erratic operation in Knox. The operator, Daniel Kesmetis, 32, of Knox, was interviewed and subsequently arrested for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of schedule W drugs, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

    April 5

    Trooper Allen stopped a vehicle for a seat belt violation. Passenger Ryan Allen, 18, was ultimately charged with possession of schedule X drugs and the sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

    April 8

    Trooper Sarah Ferland received information regarding a possibly intoxicated male operating a tractor trailer. Trooper Ferland located Lawrence Caldwell, 48, who was ultimately arrested for operating under the influence and possessing an open alcohol contained on a public way.

    April 9

    Troopers Sweeney and Robinson went to a residence on Waterville Road in Unity, in search of Angela Queener, 30. Queener was located and after a probation check was completed she was arrested for a warrant and transported to Waldo County Jail without incident.

    April 10

    Trooper Sweeney initiated a traffic stop on Route 7 in Brooks for illegal attachment of plates. Wanda Grotton, 42, of Monroe, was issued a summons for the offense and the plates were confiscated.

    April 11

    Trooper Mark Ferreira received a theft complaint in Farmingdale, in reference to items being taken from inside the store. Vehicle information was given in this case and that vehicle was stopped a short time later in Farmingdale. Contact was made with Marshall Mclaughlin, 18, of Augusta, and he was issued a summons for theft.

    April 12

    Trooper Corey Smith located Lisa Gray, 47, at her residence, and arrested her on an outstanding warrant from Penobscot County.
