ROCKLAND — The Sea Goddess Coronation Committee is pleased to announce that online applications are now available to young women interested in entering the 69th annual Maine Lobster Festival Sea Goddess Pageant.

The 2016 Sea Goddess Coronation, steeped in tradition and pageantry, will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 3. As
always, it will be one of the highlights of the 69th annual Maine Lobster Festival.

Prior to the pageant, Festival Princesses will participant in local events and activities that highlight and promote the 2016 Maine Lobster Festival.

Applications can be downloaded and printed at

The application and supporting information must be postmarked no later than March 31,  but no earlier than Feb. 15.

The Maine Sea Goddess Pageant is open to 20 eligible young women who meet the Maine Lobster Festival's guidelines. Applicants must be single, a high school (or equivalent GED) graduate, not more than 21 years of age, and a Maine resident.
