ROCKPORT — The Lynx literally stole the show in the Five Towns Little League Baseball championship game against Rotary at the Marge Jones Recreational Facility in Rockport June 17.

Tied at one in the top of the sixth, Michael Kremin’s quick feel convinced him to steal home plate and give the Lynx a 2-1 lead, which later resulted in a 3-1 victory.

The Lynx first got on the board in the top of the second, while the lone run for Rotary came at the bottom of the first inning.

On the defensive side of the ball, both teams were led by stellar pitching.

Leading the charge for the Lynx on the offensive side, Sylvan Eichenbach smashed a triple, while Tristan Black and Sawyer Olsen had one single each.

At the plate for Rotary, Quinn Brown ripped a double, while Ben Wells chalked up a single.

With the victory, the Lynx force a winner-take-all championship game set for Wednesday, June 18 at 5:30 p.m. in Rockport.
