LINCOLNVILLE — Lucille T. Bailey, 88, died Dec. 15, 2014, at her home in Lincolnville. Born in Corinna on June 26, 1926, she was the daughter of John H. and Lettie (Neil) Tuttle.

In 1927, her family moved to Wilton and in 1934, moved to Farmington. She attended schools in Wilton, was a member of the Class of 1944 at Farmington High School and attended Colby College in Waterville.

Lucille worked in the sales service department of Forster Manufacturing Center of Wilton for nine years, first as sales clerk then as sales supervisor. In 1966, she married Manley "Joe" Bailey and in 1967 they moved to Camden, where the couple resided until moving to Lincolnville in 1978.

In 1972, she went to work at the law office of David A. Nichols, later becoming McKittrick and Warren in Camden. She retired in 1984 but continued to work on a part-time basis until 2001.

A long-time member of the Chestnut Street Baptist Church in Camden, Lucille served there as church clerk, assistant clerk, deaconess and on various committees.

Surviving is her husband of 48 years; four children, Susan Lidstone and her friend, Ben Smith, of Rockport, Christopher S. Lidstone and his friend, Bonnie Brooks of West Rockport, Bradford J. Bailey of Bangor and Mark A. Bailey of Brooks; one grandson, Nathan Allen and his wife, Eliza Fitzgerald, of Oxford, England, and their daughter, Marriet S. Allen; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Tuttle of Nobleboro and Marie Tuttle of Plastow, N.H.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Stephen T. Lidstone; three brothers, John H. Tuttle Jr., Alan Tuttle and Dwight A. Tuttle; two sisters, Maxine T. Weeks and Maude T. Lisherness; and one niece, Nancy T. Latham.

Calling hours will be held Friday, Dec. 19 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Long Funeral Home, 9 Mountain St. in Camden. There will be a memorial service held Saturday, Dec. 20 at 2 p.m. at Chestnut Street Baptist Church, 29 Chestnut St. in Camden, with the Rev. Adam Kohlstrom officiating. Interment will be held in the spring in Farmington.
