THORNDIKE — Louise Mary (Felix) Spear, 71, of Thorndike, passed away Sept. 14, 2014, after a long illness. She was born Oct. 1, 1943, in Marlboro, Mass.

For the past 11 years Louise lived in Thorndike, where she fulfilled her dream of owning her own horse farm. She was a passionate horse lover and gardener. Louise worked as a laboratory technician for the past 30 years, 20 of those at Blue Hill Hospital.

Louise is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Mary Felix; her brother, Robert "Butch" Felix; and her sister, Judy Felix Merlini, all of Marlboro, Mass.

She is survived by her husband, James E. Spear of Deerfield, N.H.; her two daughters, Marianna Louise Spear of Dover, N.H., and Suzanne Spear Menczywor and her husband, Ronald, of Deerfield, N.H.; her brother, Richard Felix and his wife, Lorna, of Sterling, Mass.; and her beloved five grandchildren, Dylan Menczywor, Arianna Spear, Megan Kenyon, Cassidy Menczywor and Cameron Kenyon.

A memorial mass will be held Monday, Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Belfast. Interment will be held at a later date at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Marlboro, Mass.
