BELFAST — Louis D. Sorrentino, Jr., 65, of Belfast, passed away unexpectedly on October 3, 2017. He was born April 12, 1952 to Virginia (Jacome) and Louis D. Sorrentino, Sr. in Weymouth, MA. Louis graduated from Cohasset High School and University of Maine, Orono with a degree in horticulture and landscape design.

Along with being an award-winning landscape designer, he loved working in his own gardens and sharing his crop. Louis loved his family "dearly" and was proud of his home. He created a bird and wildlife sanctuary on his property, with many varieties of fruit trees. He also loved hunting and fishing.

Louis was predeceased by his parents. He leaves behind his brothers, Robert Sorrentino and wife Shirley of Belfast, ME and Edward Sorrentino and wife Elaine of Pembroke, MA; nieces and nephews: Alycia and Evan Lindquist of Pembroke, MA; Adam and Ashley Sorrentino of Belfast, ME; and Andrew and Jillian Sorrentino of Whitman, MA; uncle Edward P. Jacome and wife Eileen of Port Orange, FL; friend Nancy Biscone of Northport, ME; and many great-nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date, and a private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Cohasset,MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, 74 Gray Rd, Falmouth, ME 04105 or to a local animal shelter of your choice.
