Lions, Panthers, fall on the lynx

The golf season is in full swing with some teams fairing well while others have yet to find their stroke. 

Locally we have Medomak Valley, Oceanside, Camden Hills, Belfast and Mount View. 

Camden Hills and Oceanside play in Class A while all the others play in Class B.

Wednesday the Medomak Valley team fell to Waterville, and the Belfast squad fell to Maine Central Institute. 

BELFAST
At the JW Parks golf course, the Belfast Lions fell to host MCI 8.5-.5.

Belfast falls to 0-3 while MCI goes to 3-0. 

MCI’s Eric Dugas was the medalist for the day with a nine-hole 37. 

MCI finished with a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 170 to 216 for Belfast.

Individual results, with Belfast golfers, listed first were; Alex Fritz 39 lost to Eric Dugas 37; Doyle Bailey 52 lost to Carter Pearl 39; Artem Richter 60 lost to Nate Tilton 50; Katy King 65 split match with Kurt Larochelle 64; Madison Hemingway 70 lost to Avery Gosselin 56; and Ryan Fitzjurls 67 lost to Anna Smith  44.

JV -   Alexia Sweet 56 lost to Seth Mason  49.

MEDOMAK VALLEY
At the Par 36 Waterville Country Club the Medomak Valley team fell 8.5-.5 to the host Panthers.

Waterville finished with a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 185 to 212 for Medomak.

Waterville’s Adam Barre was the medalist with a four over par nine-hole total of 40. 

Individual matches, with Medomak Valley golfers, listed first were; Adam Wilcox 50 lost to Adam Barre 40; Josh Goldrup 52 halved with CJ Gaunce 56; Brent Stewart 56 lost to Alex Maheux 49; Nathan Emerson 53 lost to David Barre 45; Mavrick Young 86 lost to John Violette 51; and Leighton Winslow 92 lost to Brock Joliceur 54.
