Lindelof brothers finish strong ski season

Thu, 04/12/2018 - 12:45pm

The skiing duo of Lake and Jett Lindelof of Swanville and Islesboro recently wrapped up a great ski season that  brought the brothers much skiing excitement and experience as they individually traveled to many ski areas including Black Mountain, Kents Hill, the Camden Snow Bowl, Titcomb Mountain, Lost Valley, Mount Abram, Fort Kent's Lonesome Pines Trails, Sugarloaf Mountain, Hermon Mountain, Gunstock in New Hampshire and Mount Sunapee in New Hampshire.

The brothers, ages 14 and 12, have been ski racing together on the same circuit for several years, however this year they successfully went in individual directions.

Lake was accepted to the renowned Carrabassett Valley Academy at Sugarloaf Mountain and attended for five months as an eighth grade alpine winter term student-athlete, while Jett raced as a seventh grade Camden Snow Bowl middle school racing team member, in both alpine and Nordic disciplines.

The brothers, who are also snowboarders, learned to ski and began their ski racing enthusiasm at young ages at Hermon Mountain.

The brothers are already looking forward to, and making plans for, next winter.
