Pay-As-You-Throw (PAYT) makes sense.  It will save Waldoboro a lot of money by giving us citizens an incentive to recycle.  This incentive will reduce the trash that is trucked away to Orrington to be burned.  How much will it save?  Based on results in other Maine towns, annual tax revenue to fund the transfer station's is projected to decrease more than $300,000 by 2019.  That's a savings of 67%.  I hope every citizen of Waldoboro will get into the habit of separating out what can be recycled, reduce what goes down the hopper, and save on our tax bills.  Vote Yes for PAYT.
