You cannot imagine my delight when I heard that Jim Kalloch was going to be able to run again for the District 93 House Seat representing Owls Head and Rockland. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Jim last year and was impressed with his no nonsense approach and kind heart.

I admire the fact that he served our country for 30 years and then wanted to come home to Maine; the place he was born and raised. He owns and operates Penobscot Ferry and Transport, a successful business and understands the dedication, hard work and sacrifice it takes to be a small business owner.

When he speaks of his grandson, I know he is serious about making Maine a better place for future generations. Jim also served on the school board I know he has witnessed firsthand the challenges we face as a community and he wants to make sure we balance the needs of today and the possibilities of the future. While a professor at the Maine Maritime Academy, Jim was influential in helping to shape the futures of some very bright young students.

Jim and I have had many lengthy discussions about the issues facing Maine and it is clear to me that he is no rubber stamp! I am confident he is an independent thinker and will represent the people of District 93. Please vote on March 10 for Jim Kalloch.
