On August 2, Rockport voters will elect a new member of the school board in a special election. Please join me in voting for Betsy Saltonstall. 

Throughout our recent primary campaign, Betsy impressed me with her knowledge of the issues surrounding public education. The facts and figures she has at her fingertips underline her commitment to doing right by our kids and our community. Our school board has a number of new members this year, and Betsy’s experience on the School Administrative District 28 Board of Directors and on the Board of Directors of the Maine School Boards’ Association will be greatly appreciated.

Next week’s special election is unusual. Of the 17 candidates who received write-in votes in June, many may be ambivalent about their candidacy. Betsy is an exception. She has demonstrated her willingness to serve our community and her readiness to step up where we need her. I am thrilled to support Betsy Saltonstall for school board.
