The Friends of Rockport Library successfully completed their 46th giant book sale on July 17. Nothing of that scale can happen without the generous help of a tremendous number of people. We want to express our thanks to the following for their support and encouragement throughout the year: Bobby Brown, Peter Chamberlain, Brian Filley, Martha Mitchell, Jean Poole, Jenny Ruddy and Priscilla Wood who sort and price books all year; Rockport Steel, Midcoast Recreational Center, E. L. Spear and Sherwin Williams; the crew from Rockport Public Works and the high school students who helped them; and especially to the 50 volunteers who worked tirelessly to arrange and sell the books during the sale. The money we raise will supplement the funding for library projects and sponsor programs for children and adults. We are profoundly grateful to all our volunteers.
