WALDO — Leroy R. Kenney, 67, of Waldo, passed away Aug. 24, 2014, at his residence with his loving wife by his side. He was born Nov. 15, 1946, in Jackson, the son of the late Henry and Minnie (Whitcomb) Kenney.

Leroy worked for more than 30 years as a carpenter for Sargent Corporation. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed playing slots in Bangor.

Leroy was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer; two brothers, Donald and Reginald; and a sister, Sue Nason.

He leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Thelma (Ridley) Kenney of Waldo; a son, Jeffrey Kenney; his stepchildren, Darby Ludden and his wife, Kathy, of Unity, and Debbie Reynolds and her companion, Daryl Chenevert; five grandchildren, Sonny, Brandon, Josh, Danielle and Jeremy; six great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Barbara Cunningham of Belfast, Henry Kenney Jr. and his wife, Sally, of Waldo, and Rosie Boynton and her husband, John, of Belfast. He also will be missed by special friends Walt and Nan cy Carrel of Belmont and Wendell Ridley of Massachusetts.

The children and family of Leroy would like to thank Thelma for all of the wonderful care she provided to Leroy throughout his illness.
