WARREN — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an overnight burglary of Lincoln's Country Store on Route 90 in Warren. The store’s owner reported the incident this morning. 

Sometime after 11 p.m., Friday, May 23, the store had been entered through the back. The security system was disabled and entry was gained into the store’s safe. 

Knox County Detective Dwight Burtis was called in to assist with the investigation, according to the sheriff’s office. He is currently gathering evidence that was left behind.  Items and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken. Some video footage was able to be recovered as well. Updates will be forthcoming, the sheriff’s office said.
