Knox County Criminal Docket closed cases

    ROCKLAND — The following cases were closed in Knox County Unified Court from Feb. 26-March 2.

    Logan Allen, 22, of Jefferson, fishing without valid license, $100 fine.

    Phillip Aresenault, 35, of Cushing, tampering with witness, informant, juror or victim, dismissed.

    Michael S. Audet, 19, of Harrisville, R.I., operating vehicle without license, $150 fine.

    Tara Bellavance, 43, of Rome, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, three years in prison with all but nine months suspended, probation three years, restitution $18,447.80.

    According to the affidavit filed in court by Maine State Police, Bellevance and a man were arrested for stealing the guns from a Rockport home.

    The guns included a Wesley Richards 12-gauge, side-by-side shotgun valued at more than $25,000 more than 40 years ago and a Parker side-by-side 20-gauge shotgun, valued at $20,000. The pair were arrested for the thefts of the guns in Rockport following an investigation by state police of other guns stolen in Rome, according to the court document.

    The owner of the guns in Rockport told police that he was unaware that they had been stolen.

    Police said that the guns were pawned at Coastal Trading and Pawn in Auburn and then were resold to other parties. Lane received $9,675 for selling the two guns, according to the court document.

    Rockport Sgt. Jim Moore also assisted with the investigation.

    Maurice Bickford, of Searsport, untagged lobster traps, Chapter 25, $300 fine.

    Brian A. Blackman, 28, of Warren, operating under the influence, $500 fine, 48 hours in jail, license suspended 150 days.

    Elijah Burnham, 28, of Waldoboro, reckless conduct, $500 fine, seven days in jail.

    Thomas M. Chandler, 21, of Washington, operating vehicle without license, $150 fine.

    Alok V. Chaturvedi, 58, of Puri, India, causing death of person while committing a traffic infraction, $2,000 fine, license suspended four years.

    Chaturvedi was only in the United States for a brief time when the accident took place and then he returned to India. He did not appear in court March 1.

    Chaturvedi, while operating a motor vehicle July 16 in Union, failed to stop and yield at a stop sign and caused the death of Felicity Davidson, 63, of Rockport, who was a passenger on a motorcycle that was struck by the defendant.  (See: Union crash claims life of Rockport woman)

    Chad A. Delano, 46, of Rockland, aggravated operating after habitual offender revocation, $1,000 fine, six months in jail; operating under the influence (alcohol), $500 fine, 48 hours in jail; attaching false plates, seven days in jail.

    Delano was indicted by the Knox County grand jury in January 2018 for aggravated operating after habitual offender revocation, criminal operating under the influence and improper plates on Aug. 5 in Rockland.

    According to the indictment, Delano operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants or while having a blood alcohol level of 0.08 grams or more of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood or 210 liters of breath. He had a previous conviction of operating after revocation in February 2017 in Knox County Unified Court.

    Guy S. Eaton, 41, of Friendship, failing to attach deer tag to deer, $100 fine.

    Rebecca A. Fendrick, 23, of Rockland, assault, $300 fine.

    Daniel E. Gallant Jr., 28, of Kenduskeag, operating while license suspended or revoked, prior, $500 fine.

    Dominic J. Gioia, 37, of Camden, endangering the welfare of a child, 364 days in jail with all but seven days suspended, probation one year.

    William R. Gould, 35, of Rockland, disorderly conduct, loud unreasonable noise, dismissed; obstructing government, administration, $500 fine; refusing to submit to arrest or detention, physical force, dismissed.

    Caisaguano Daniel Roberto Guaman, 25, of Farmingham, Mass., operating while license suspended or revoked, $250 fine.

    Christopher J. Harriman, 33, of Washington, operating vehicle without license, $150 fine.

    Joshua Haskell, 29, of Owls Head, terrorizing, two counts, 30 days in jail; violating condition of release, 30 days in jail. Haskell was arrested by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office for assault, criminal threatening and violating a condition of release from a previous charge of terrorizing in August 2016.

    According to the affidavit filed by in court by police, a man reported an altercation he had with Haskell when he went to his house with another man to retrieve his belongings. The victim said that he got into a fight with Haskell about his recent charge of terrorizing and during the argument, Haskell attempted to strike him with a fire extinguisher but missed.

    The victim was finally able to hold Haskell on the floor. He said that Haskell threatened to shoot him in the face.

    When the second man came inside the house, he attempted to break up the fight. He said Haskell bit the victim’s finger and also reached for a handgun that his girlfriend picked up and removed from the scene, according to the court documents.

    Police noted in their report that along with the injured finger, the victim had cuts and scrapes to his forearm and left hand.

    According to the court documents, as they left the scene, one of the men took his own gun from a lunch box where it was stored in the house and left his belongings behind.

    Haskell then emerged from the house as they were backing out of the driveway and appeared to retrieve something from his truck.

    He ran toward their vehicle so the man with the gun fired a shot into the ground as a warning so they could get away. The men said they feared Haskell would have attacked them with a rock or something similar.

    Austin T. Jackomino, 28, of Vinalhaven, probation violation for original conviction of domestic violence assault, 14 days in jail, probation continued.

    Lynn M. Jones, 52, of Rockland, disorderly conduct, loud unreasonable noise, $250 fine.

    Karen E. Keating, 49, of Thomaston, failure to register vehicle, $150 fine.

    Joseph Kelley, 40, of Woolwich, domestic violence assault, 364 days in jail with all but three days suspended, probation two years.

    Gregory Krise, 41, of Rockland, operating while license suspended or revoked, $750 fine.

    Craig Labrecque, 31, of Arrowsic, failure to register vehicle, $250 fine.

    Corey Morris, 36, of St. Geoge, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, $250 fine.

    Timothy Scott Morse, 31, of Warren, operating under the influence (alcohol), $500 fine.

    Ralph Oehme, 66, of Somerville, attaching false plates, $100 fine.

    Tucker J. Phinney, 25, of Chamberlain, operating under the influence (alcohol), two priors, $1,100 fine, 364 days in jail with all but 170 days suspended, probation two years, license suspended six years; registration suspended; operating while license suspended or revoked-OUI, $600 fine, seven days in jail, license suspended one year.

    Timothy L. Pieper, 45, of Waldoboro, hunting or possessing deer during closed season, $1,000 fine, three days in njail.

    Abraham O. Salami, 38, of Appleton, operating vehicle without license, $100 fine.

    Stephen Smith, 30, of Brooks, motor vehicle speeding: 30 plus miles over speed limit, $750 fine.

    Phyllip J. Stevens, 27, of Belfast, failure to register vehicle, $150 fine.

    Chelsea R. Thompson, 27, unlawful possession of scheduled drug, dismissed; unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs, two counts, dismissed; criminal conspiracy, dismissed; violating condition of release, dismissed.

    Dustin Upham, 21, of Warren, operating under the influence (alcohol), $500 fine, 72 hours in jail.

    Matthew Wall, 36, of Rockland, unlawful possession of cocaine, priors, dismissed.

    Chad V. Waters, 24, of Rockland, criminal mischief, $250 fine; disorderly conduct, offensive words, gestures, $250 fine.

    MacKenzie C.J. Whitehall, 21, of Waldoboro, fishing without valid license, $100 fine.

    Crystal G. Woodcock, 37, of Rockland, attaching false plates, $150 fine; failure to register vehicle, dismissed.

    Daryl S. Young, 41, of Swanville, operating while license suspended or revoked, $500 fine, 90 days in jail; failure to register vehicle, seven days in jail.
