Knox County Criminal Docket closed cases

    ROCKLAND — The following cases were closed in Knox County Unified Court from April 30-May 4.

    Maurice Bickford, 48, of Searsport, engaging in activities on Vinalhaven while suspended, $500 fine.

    Zachary T. Carleton, 29, of St. George, probation violation for original conviction of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, for incidents occurring from January through May 2016, in Rockport, 90 days in jail, probation partially revoked, probation continued; operating under the influence (alcohol), one prior on April 30 in Rockland, $700 fine, 90 days in jail, license suspended three years, registration suspended. Carleton was charged with theft by Rockport Police Officer Travis Ford in July 2016 and then plead guilty to stealing more than $7,000 by using another individual’s ATM card at multiple locations to withdraw the money. One of the terms of Carleton’s probation included that he repay $7,245.40 in restitution to the victim. He was originally sentenced by Judge Susan Sparaco April 5, 2017, in Knox County Unified Court to two years in jail with all but six months suspended and two years of probation.

    Nicholas M. Deabler, 25, of Thomaston, unlawful possession of a scheduled drug in Rockland on April 30, $400 fine, 364 days in jail with all but 14 days suspended, probation one year.

    Daniel Keith Hart, 52, of Owls Head, disorderly conduct, offensive words gestures, dismissed.

    Jason P. Merrill, 30, of Gray, refusing to submit to arrest or detention, physical force on Sept. 23, 2017, in Rockland, 30 days in jail.
