SEARSMONT — Kimberly Jo Tyler, 43, passed away on Nov. 9, 2016, in Swanville. She was born in Bristol, Conn., on March 4, 1973, to Robert and Jean (Suitor) Walsh.

Kim attended Belfast Area High School and went on to work in local restaurants and in banking. She continued her education, recently taking courses in medical transcription. Kim also worked in home health care as well as at On Process. She loved cooking and enjoyed gardening and weekends at Lake St. George with her family.

Kim had a smile that could brighten up anyone's day no matter the situation. Very motivated and persistent, especially when it came to community support from running the make-shift concession stand at the farm league baseball game or selling Lions cards for the football team. She would often put others needs ahead of her own. No matter the hardship it may cause herself. Kim was larger than life and had a heart to match.

She was predeceased by her mother. Kim is survived by her father, Robert Walsh of Swanville; her husband of almost 20 years, Rick Tyler of Searsmont; two sons, Jonathan Walsh of Swanville and Derrick Tyler of Searsmont; four sisters, Roberta Herbest and her husband, Dana, and Tanya Roberts and her husband, Dennis, all of Swanville, Wanda Pinkham and her husband, Jon, of Belmont, and Andrea Walsh of Rockland; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 10 a.m. to noon at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave. in Belfast.
