DOUGLAS WYOMING – In the early morning hours of July 28, 2014, Kevin L. Bubar passed away unexpectedly at his home here, of a heart attack. He was 47 years old.

He was the first child of Gordon C. and Marnelle Bubar of North Haven.

He was born in Pittsfield on Dec. 8, 1966.

Kevin was educated in Dexter schools until the age of 14, when all he really wanted to do was work with his Dad in the woods business.

At the age of 15, he was licensed to drive large trucks, which he did up until the time of his death. He was a professional at it! He was always in the woods business until he went to work in Douglas, Wyo., a couple of years ago. There he worked for a couple of companies, the latter being Philips & Jordan Co., hauling equipment and machinery on a low bed trailer. Throughout his life, he could and had operated any type of machinery.

Without question, the greatest moment in Kevin's life was the birth of his son, Devin, on Aug. 28, 2001. Kevin was the proudest dad and Devin was the number one priority above everything and everyone else.

Secondly, he enjoyed going fishing with Devin and riding his new motorcycle.

In addition to his son, Devin Alexander Bubar; Kevin is survived by his parents; his brother. Travis M. Bubar and his fiancée, Shawnna Burrill, all of North Haven; his sister, Amanda Frankowski and her husband, Aric, of Punta Gorda, Fla.; his nieces and nephews, Maranda and Jasmine Bubar, and Jessica and Logan Frankowski; his uncles and aunts, Daryl and Sylvia Bubar of Fair Oaks, Texas, Florence Leavitt of Ripley, Randy Madore of Newport, and Myrna and Dale Duplisea of Burnham; Patty Miles of Guilford, who had become a very special person in Kevin's life; as well as many cousins, extended family, co-workers and friends in Douglas, Wyo., and Maine.

Friends and relatives are invited to visit Saturday, Aug. 16 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St. in Rockland, where a gathering of remembrance will begin at 11a.m. The Rev. David Macy will officiate. Interment will be in Shuman Cemetery on Washington Road in Waldoboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a scholarship fund being established, for Devin's benefit. Address information will be published upon completion.
