CUSHING – Judy D. Malburg, 71, died Aug. 17, 2016, surrounded by her family at the Sussman House in Rockport.

Born in Rockland on June 26, 1945, she was the daughter of the Rev. Fred C. Sr. and Millicent L. Fowlie Tolman. Growing up in Rockland, Judy attended local schools and was a 1963 graduate of Rockland District High School.

On Nov. 30, 1963, she married Daniel R. Malburg in Thomaston. The couple made their home in Rockland, where they raised their family, until moving to Cushing in 2004.

In the early years of her marriage, Judy worked as a certified nursing assistant, at Shore Village Nursing Center in Rockland. The rest of her career, Judy devoted as a homemaker, raising six children and in more recent years, showering her attention on her grandchildren.

She enjoyed sewing and knitting.

Judy was predeceased by a granddaughter, Aubrey in 1995; and her father, Fred C. Tolman Sr. in 2010.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Malburg Sr. of Cushing; her mother, Millicent Tolman of Rockland; four sons, Daniel R. Malburg Jr., Joseph Malburg Sr., and Joshua Malburg and his wife, Rachel, all of Warren, and Issac Malburg and his companion, Jessica Staples, of Belfast; two daughters and their husbands, Amy and David Taylor of Rockland, and Tricia and Jarrold Johnson of Thomaston; three brothers, Steven Tolman Sr. and his wife, Carol, David Tolman and his wife, Cindy, and Fred Tolman Jr.; and a sister, Patricia Tolman, all of Rockland; 10 grandchildren, Katie, Krista, Larissa, Zachary, Dakota, Joseph Jr., Alias, Levie, Audree and Seth; two great-grandchildren, Elsie and Ambrose; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service, will be held Tuesday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m. at Village Cemetery in Thomaston. The Rev. Walter Henderson will officiate.
