WARREN — Joan F. Wentworth, 80, died April 23, 2017, with family at her side, at the Sussman Hospice House in Rockport.

Born in Boston on April 6, 1937, she was one of seven children of John F. and Doris Leonard Heald. She moved at an early age to Warren, where she was educated in local schools.

In 1956, she married Wesley A. Wentworth. The couple lived most of their married lives in Warren, where they raised their family.

Joan was a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother. She loved being outdoors and enjoyed picking blueberries and strawberries, often creating something delicious to eat. Spending time with her grandchildren brought Joan special joy.

Joan was predeceased by her husband, Wesley A. Sr.; her parents; one son, Wesley A. Wentworth Jr.; and four siblings. She is survived by her children, Daniel A. Wentworth of Warren, Harry L. Wentworth of Rumford, Richard Wentworth of Rockland, Irma Wentworth and her husband, Coty Richards, of Warren, Nancy Wentworth of Brunswick and Brenda Garafano of Liberty; two sisters, Germaine Gooldrup of Waterville and Alta L. Lambert of Winslow; two stepchildren, Wesley M. Wentworth and Edna Noble, both of Gray; 15 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
