Mon, 01/29/2018 - 1:15pm

Joan Carol Baker, 81, of Hope, passed peacefully with family nearby at home on January 26, 2018, at 9:15 a.m., from a long-term sickness.  She will be missed by many family and friends as a Jehovah’s Witness and had the hope of a resurrection to earth in a Paradise.  She found hope in the Bible, and these are some Scriptures she enjoyed and gave her hope.  I Corinthians 15:12, 13 and Revelation 21:4 gave her hope and peace of mind as it does for us.  Please take time to look these Scriptures up and gain hope also.

Mom worked as a secretary, waitress, had a day-care business, cleaning business, wedding flower arranger and also a wife and mother.  She was born February 11, 1936 in Weehawken, N.J., to John and Caroline Rohweder.  She was married to Rene C. Baker for 49 years and six months.  Dad passed from cancer and Mom missed him every day.  He was also predeceased by a brother, Walter.   Mom is survived by a brother, Johnny; four children:  Gary, Darlene, Glenn and David; grandchildren Leon, Taylor, Andrew, Nichole, Kaitlin, Andria, Kelli, Zack, Mathew; great-grandchildren Xavier, Katianna, Jaiden, Evert, Angel, Pierce, Kash.
