WARREN - The first three-quarters of 2016 has found sculptor Jay Sawyer, of Warren, very focused on efforts to complete his fresh series of works inspired by the English alphabet, as well as curating his first solo show currently on the campus of the University of Maine at Farmington, titled Sculpture Soup.

Sawyer said this ambitious show is now in full swing at the Emery Community Arts Center through Nov. 3.

The priority of these efforts resulted in Sawyer, aka JBONE, making a decision to delay the opening of his outdoor studio in Warren to the public. Studio JBONE will resume its routine schedule of open studios on Sundays and Mondays through October. Visitors will not only enjoy the mystical environment dotted with rustic sculpture, but, have a chance to see several new abstract works by JBONE with a minimal approach.

Works in this began with table pieces and are now working their way to life size.

The entrance for the public is at 131 Camden Road (Route 90) in Warren, 1/4-mile from Route 1. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
