James K. "Jay" Tuplin Jr. passed away June 1, 2016, at Glenridge Nursing Home in Augusta. Born in Haverhill, Mass., to the late James and Anne Tuplin, he resided in Sidney.

Jay was a master mechanic with Ford Company. He loved old cars and was known for his great humor and storytelling. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family.

He was predeceased by his parents and by his son, James Huskey, who passed away recently. Surviving are his loving wife of 19 years, Cindy Tuplin of Sidney; his son, James Tuplin of New Hampshire; his two granddaughters; his siblings, Carol Wood of Waterville, Thelma Bowen of Belfast and Linda Wheeler of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 9, at 1 p.m. at Grove Cemetery in Belfast.
