HOPE — James L. "Jim" Laurita, D.V.M., 56, died Sept. 9, 2014, while caring for his beloved elephants, Rosie and Opal, in Hope. A complete obituary will be published later.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. in the Knox County Ballroom at the Samoset Resort.
