TENANTS HARBOR — Jackson Memorial Library Board President Betsy Welch announced that Deb Armer has joined as the new library director. Armer relocated to Camden last year from Denver, and before that, Chicago, where she and her husband raised their family.

With an undergraduate degree from Saint Lawrence University, Armer earned her Master of Library Science from Dominican University in Illinois. She has worked in college and corporate libraries, and managed the research team of a large medical device corporation. She also created a Knowledge Center research team at a small Chicago healthcare consulting firm.

Most recently, she was a regular volunteer at Camden Public Library.

"I love meeting new people, hearing their stories and sharing experiences," Armer said in a press release Nov. 7. "I'm thrilled to be a part of this amazing group of people here at Jackson Memorial Library."
