BELFAST - Jackson L. Allenwood, 86, died Nov. 21, 2015, at his residence in Belfast. He was born in Belfast on July 14, 1929, the son of Lester and Katie (Trull) Allenwood.

He graduated from Crosby High School in 1947. He married Mary Anne Hall in 1953. They enjoyed traveling together. He served nine years in the Belfast National Guard, worked for Fayscott in Dexter and Mathews Brothers in Belfast.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Anne Allenwood of Belfast; three sisters, June Herrick, Ann Hussey and Brenda Miller; and several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
