Indivisible Waldo to hold Maine Democratic gubernatorial forum

Indivisible Waldo will be hosting a public forum in which the candidates running in the 2018 Maine Democratic Gubernatorial Primary will take questions from potential constituents. The forum will take place on May 21, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the University of Maine Hutchinson Center at 80 Belmont Ave (Rt 3) Belfast, Maine 04915

The seven Democratic candidates are

  • Adam Cote, attorney, of Sanford, 
  • Donna Dion, former mayor of Biddeford 
  • Mark Dion, state senator of Portland 
  • Mark Eves, former speaker of the Maine House of North Berwick
  • Janet Mills, Maine Attorney General of Farmington; 
  • Diane Russell,  former state representative of Portland 
  • Betsy Sweet, small business owner of Hallowell
The forum will be moderated by Ben Chin, Political Engagement Director of the Maine People's Alliance. Prior to the candidate statements and question period there will be a brief discussion of Ranked Choice Voting, which is to be used for the Democratic Primary on June 12, 2018

The forum will be filmed and will be available on Youtube for later viewing.  There is no admission charge however donations to defray the cost of the venue would be gratefully accepted.
