Hope elects selectman, approves school budgets

    HOPE – On voting day in Hope, June 12, 507 citizens visited the polls. 

    They approved the Five Town CSD budget, 368 to 126, and the Hope School budget, 376 to 120.

    Brian Powers, Jr., was elected as selectman with 198 votes over his opponent, Charles Weidman, with 137 votes.

    Timothy Lock was elected to the school committee with 14 write-in votes.

    William Jones was elected to the Budget Committee with 320 votes.
