NORTHPORT — The co-ed soccer players for the Hope Elementary School Hawks may have had to wait a few extra days to play in the co-ed soccer championship contest, but the wait was worthwhile. 

Instead of playing the championship contest Saturday, Oct. 25 at Northport’s Point Lookout, like those competing for the boys and girls soccer championship trophies did, as orginially scheduled, Hope and Bristol soccer players had to wait until Tuesday, Oct. 28 to play the championship match. 

In the match, the top-ranked Hawks concluded its season with a 6-2 victory over third seed Bristol; therefore, giving the Hawks an unblemished seasonal record.
