Join Five Town CSD Adult Ed for a daylong adventure in Salem, Massachusetts, one of New England's most famous and historic cities, on Saturday, October 14.

Salem has much to offer whether it be witches, pirates, the Pioneer Village, or the world famous Peabody Essex Museum. You can hop aboard the Salem Trolley for a tour of the city, or visit Pickering Wharf with its many unique shops, the House of Seven Gables, or Ye Olde Pepper Company, the oldest candy shop in America. You can also walk along the historic streets of Salem, home to the infamous witch trials of 1692. For foodies there are no less than 60 restaurants, coffee shops, and cafes to sample.

Admission to attractions is not included in the registration fee, but maps and information packets will be provided before the trip. Departure is from Camden Hills Regional High School at 7:00 a.m., returning at 9:00 p.m. with additional pick-ups at MVHS in Waldoboro and Great Salt Bay School in Newcastle, and a rest stop at Kennebunk Plaza. Northeast Charter and Tours provide transportation for the trip; the tour leaders are Marlene Hall and Barbara Hendricks. Contact the adult ed office at 236-7800, ext. 5 or visit fivetowns.maineadulted.org, to register or for more information. Registration is $75, register by September 28.
