Oceanside 7, Gardiner 3... At Gardiner, The perfect Mariners continued with a hard-fought 7-3 win over Gardiner Wednesday, May 4.

"Oceanside softball were lead to victory today on the bats of Casey Pine, Brianna Dugan, Kalyn Grover, and Hannah Moholland," said coach Rusty Worcester. "All repeat hitters for us today. Casey Pine hit a solo blast for a home run with one out in the top of the third inning. She really squared the barrel up on this home run, it was 20 feet over the left field fence. Then in the top of the fifth inning with one on and two outs Brianna Dugan did something I haven't seen in all my years of playing and coaching. She hits a high towering fly ball that comes down right on top of the left field flag pole for a two run homerun. Brianna also played a great first base digging throws out of the dirt and on one play did a complete split at first base on a throw."

Chloe Jones went to 5-0 in the circle where she allowed three runs on eight hits and nine walks while striking out 12. Ari Curtis did the receiving for Jones.

Hitting for Oceanside were, Casey Pine (3-for-3, home run, 2 singles, RBI), Brianna Dugan (3-for-4, home run, 2 singles, 2 RBIs), Kalyn Grover (3 for 4, double, 2 singles, 2 RBIs), Hannah Moholland (2-for-4, double, single), Alexis Mazurek (double) and Chloe Jones (single).

"We left to many ladies on base today, but on the flip side so did they," said Worcester. "Gardiner left 13 runners on base and Oceanside left nine. Chloe Jones was able to make the big pitches ending the threats when needed."

In the circle for Gardiner was Jillian Bisson (1-4) who pitched seven innings allowing 10 runs on 13 hits and a walk while striking out three. Julia Nadeau did the catching for the Tigers.

Offensively for Gardiner, Brianna Brochu (2 doubles), Jillian Bisson (double, single, 2 RBIs),
