High Holiday Services at Rockland Synagogue

ROCKLAND — High Holiday services marking the Jewish New Year 5775 will be held at Adas Yoshuron Synagogue in Rockland, with Rabbi David Freidenreich of Colby College officiating. Services are free and open to all who wish to observe these Days of Awe.

Rosh Hashanah services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 6:30 p.m., featuring the Adas Yoshuron Choir, directed by Dr. Dana Goldsmith, singing liturgical pieces. The service will be followed by a potluck dessert reception.

Rosh Hashanah services continue on Thursday Sept. 25 at 9 a.m., with a Children's Service at 10:30 a.m. Services will also be held on Friday, Sept. 26 at 9 a.m.

Services for Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, will begin with Kol Nidre, featuring the Adas Yoshuron Choir, on Friday, Oct. 3 at 5:30 p.m. Yom Kippur services will also be held on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 9 a.m., with a Children's Service at 10:30 a.m. The Yizkor memorial service will begin at approximately 11:30 a.m.

A Community Break-the-Fast will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m., following the closing prayers.
