ROCKPORT — Helen Georgette (Lester) Dugas passed away peacefully Feb. 28, 2015, at the Seaport Village Healthcare Center in Ellsworth. She was born Aug. 12, 1935, a daughter of the late Albert and Jeanne G. Lester. Helen graduated from Wiscasset High School.

Helen's joy in life was being a homemaker, baking and raising four energetic sons. She loved spending time with her family. She was a find-a-word, crossword and puzzle enthusiast.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry Dugas and his wife, Susan, of Surry, Ken Dugas and his wife, Dawn of Surry, and Michael Dugas and his husband, Kevin Blanchard, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two sisters, Barbara Smith of Yarmouth and Ruby V. Cole of Brunswick; five grandchildren, Ashley Dugas and her significant other, Nate Butler, of Surry, Tyler Dugas and his wife, Alyssa, of Surry, Brieana Dugas and her significant other, Buddy Morel, of Milford, N.H., Tiffany Benner of Ellsworth, and Jared Benner and his wife, Courtney, of Surry; and several great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence R. "Duke" Dugas; her parents, Albert and Jeanne G. Lester; her son, Mark Dugas; her brother, Albert Lester; and her sister, Jeannie Anderson.

A celebration of life ceremony will be scheduled in the future.
